Significant Issues
Grey is responsible for killing Flux (World War Hulk: Gamma Corps #1, 2007); Grey snaps the Hulk’s neck (World War Hulk: Gamma Corps #3, 2007); Origin of Grey and ultimately causing the downfall of General Ryker only to take the Gamma Corps in a new direction (World War Hulk: Gamma Corps #4, 2007)

Approached by General Ryker sometime after his brother Glenn was killed in action while pursuing the incredible Hulk, Brian Talbot agreed to undergo experimental procedures in order to get revenge against the jade giant. Having the blood of the Hulk injected into his body along with some of the DNA of the Leader, to keep any potential uncontrollable rampages in check, the powerhouse codenamed Grey was born. He became the field leader of Ryker’s group, the Gamma Corps, and Talbot was a model soldier. As Grey, Talbot infiltrated an A.I.M. facility with the rest of his group and put an end to the life of a former Ryker lackey, Flux.

Grey then led his team into battle with the monster they all signed up to eliminate. His brilliant strategy allowed every member starting with an indirect attack from Prodigy to target a specific weak spot on the Hulk – his neck. All of the Gamma Corps took their turn: Mister Gideon, Mess, Griffin and then Grey himself leading up to a temporary victory when Talbot snapped the Hulk’s neck leaving him seemingly lifeless. Unfortunately, the Hulk healed and pounded each member in turn starting with Mess and then heading off to find General Ryker at his secret base in the Staten Island Dump. Grey and the others gave chase but they were ultimately no match for the Hulk. Grey stood the best chance after Griffin and Mister Gideon were defeated, but a little mind manipulation along with a dose of the truth gave way to the real victory. The Hulk made Grey doubt himself which caused him to succumb to an uncontrollable rage and tear apart the Staten Island facility, leading to the downfall of General Ryker. Brian Talbot, along with the other members of Gamma Corps, had his eyes opened the day they faced the Hulk. Brian knew his brother was a self absorbed, abusive monster, and he hated him for it, but it was easier (especially with Ryker’s lies to back up his feelings) to blame the Hulk. Grey is keeping the Gamma Corps running and has found new targets for them – Mister Fantastic, Iron Man, Black Bolt and Doctor Strange.

Who and where Grey decides to attack next has yet to be revealed.
