Powers
Aminedi's full extent of his mutant powers remain to be revealed. He could move at blinding super-speeds, appearing as a blur. By passing an opponent while thus running, his touch acted like a powerful sword, slicing through even the Blob's tough hide. He also appeared able to levitate and fly for short distances, but this may be due in part to his power.

Significant Issues
Appeared with Desert Sword, vs. Freedom Force (Uncanny X-Men Annual #15; X-Factor Annual #6); Death revealed (X-Men Annual #2)

The details behind the origin and history of Aminedi (named from the "cutting wind" of the desert) remain unknown, including his recruitment into Desert Sword. This Iraqi super-team was dispatched to abduct a Kuwaiti scientist during Iraq's forceful occupation of the nation. They fought the United States' Freedom Force and, rather than let Desert Sword take the scientist, Pyro killed him instead. Desert Sword defeated Freedom Force, forcing them to retreat. Recently, Aminedi was revealed to have died by the mutant-killing disease, the Legacy Virus.
