That's a lesson the Fantastic Four learned all too well when they came face to face with arguably the most powerful being in the Marvel Universe, Galactus, in FANTASTIC FOUR #'s 48-50.
Heralded by the Silver Surfer, a character making his legendary first appearance in this classic storyline, Galactus really means no malice—he's just a bit hungry. For planets!
As you might imagine, the FF took exception to Galactus' eating habits. Concerned that we humans weren't quite done with this great big globe just yet, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben fight one of their greatest battles ever!
How does it turn out? Well, you're still standing on solid ground, right, so SOMETHING must've gone well for the World's Greatest Heroes.
