Sean has been constantly throwing things at me to do another blog post. I'm still working out my thoughts on the aftereffects of the fall of the Holy Roman Empire, so I guess I'll post some comics stuff.

For the big July X-Men relaunch we're rejiggering the logos and cover treatment a little (much thanks to Rian Hughes!). You'll notice we're doing headshots for Uncanny and X-Men! FUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!

The cover looks great
I love this cover. I wish I could draw as well as a Marvel artist. I love the way it doesn't appear to have a lot of going on in the cover, until you actually pay attenton to it and see all the detail. Its just great.

relaunch
you mentioned a relaunch, does this mean, this would be the time for readers who have not read the comic in yrs and new readers can jump in now? I have no idea what is going on and would like to get back to reading the x-men as I really miss the characters.

kind of....
a relaunch. Carey and Brubaker (favorite writer currently) are taking over the writing and Bachalo is moving to adjectiveless so Billy Tan can pencil Uncanny. You may want to pick up issues of Deadly Genesis before picking up Bru's first Uncanny issue. Probably not resuired but it could help since it picks up where DG left off.

Loyal X-fan

BOOM.......
HEADSHOTS!!!!!!!!

Posted by goutetsu on 2006-06-18 16:30:22
headshots eh? hmmm...i dunno. it's ok i guess. you know what, before, i used to think that whoever's in the headshot area was part of the story...which wasn't always the case so...is this gonna be like a random "i like her face so she's gonna be there" thing?

Headshots are sweet!
Always liked them. Why don't they have them on New Avengers?

Headshots
Agreed, the headshots are super sweet and they were always cool on the team books as they gave a quick rundown (generally) of the current roster

Posted by beachbum89 on 2006-06-21 08:48:56
those headshots need to be on every marvel team book, yesterday.

get to it :p

Logo
I love the new logo. I was not so much of a fan of the most recent one. This one has so much more style.

wolverine
i dunno maybe wolverine can get an interdimensional transporter that teleports him to where ever he needs to be. he can push the x on his belt to make it work (oh and it can turn into an a when he is with the avengers) :)
